Point the FINGER at YOURSELF!
Men soon the faults of others learn
A few their virtues, too, find out;
But is there one—I have a doubt—
Who can his own defects discern?
-Sanskrit Proverb
It's like this, "Pick the plank out of your own eye before taking the mole out of someone elses." Can we remember countless times where we point our finger at someone else, but when we look in the mirror there is so much wrong with us?
Or, remember the times people pointed fingers at you, but looking at thier own life you see nothing except mess. Exactly. It's time for us to do self-examination and measure ourselves up to the only one worthy, God. When we do that, we'll find that we are not worthy pointing fingers at anyone. God's love gives us numerous times to be forgiven and change. Let's begin to examine ourselves and guide others in growth, not point the finger.
No more, LOOK AT YOUs, but LOOK at MEs.
