STOP FAKING! Talking about you aren't hating.
What are you hating on?
I know it's not me and the life I live.
Can't you see, you and I are the same?
The difference is that I called on his name.
We are the same as can be.
Don't you know that Jesus died for both you and me?
And NO, I was not all of a sudden set free.
I sweat, I shed tears, and I subsided all of my fears.
I put my trust in my father's hand.
You think my life was made grand?
I am human just like you.
I cry, I run, I've ran.
I've done all you can do but, see Jesus was not through.
Neither is he with you.
Wise up. Don't you know that your brother, known as your father, has the power to set you free.
Come all, Come all ye sinners unto me.
And just like me, you too can have a brother that will intercede.
He will intercede all your transgressions and cause the devil to be angry.
But don't worry about that, cause just like you were before you knew Jesus, the devil too will be unhappy.
And you know what, he never stopped hating on me.
He will feel the same about you when you are set free.
So STOP FAKING like your life is so great.
Be real with yourself, cause YOU KNOW, you want to see those PEARLY WHITE GATES!

Yes, this blog was written for a poetry night @ Maranatha when we first moved to Jackson. Well, when it comes to Maranatha it was kind of hard to expand ministry there because there is a lot of resistance to new methods.
However, my dance ministry was eventually accepted at that church by most members, even though some would still walk out. Before I left my ministry was taking off...I had calls from different churches and events all over town and in surrounding areas...even Memphis but, then I moved.
This group Life's Journey was given to me by God not until 2008 and it's been slowly but, surely growing. So praise God.
