Get Over Yourself
By, Team Leader of Life's Journey: Woman to Woman
God will use whomever He wants and whatever He wants to fulfill His glory! Your actions do not exempt you from being used and being blessed by Him!
“Now the city shall be doomed by the LORD to destruction, it and all who are in it. Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.” Joshua 6:17
Rahab was an harlot, a lady of the night, lady of the street…whatever term you want to give her. Can you imagine the heat she took for being a lady of the evening? Im sure (because people were just as judgmental then as they are now) she was talked about, disrespected, chastised, and the list goes on. However, she was used by God to hide the messengers/spies which was imperative in the destroying of Jericho.
Her willingness to be used by God, also resulted in her being blessed by God! She and her family were the only ones saved before Jericho was destroyed.
The harlot was saved! What?! There were probably some folks in the city who lived right all their life…but the sinner was saved!
That is definitely a rejoicing moment…
We get so wrapped up in our mistakes and poor choices that we believe God cant use us, He wants nothing to do with us…and we couldnt be more WRONG!
God forgives AND forgets! Our mistakes do not negate the fact that we are still vessels for Him. We have been commissioned to work for Him. ALL things work together for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Whether or not you accept the calling is up to you.
He knows the mistakes and decisions you made…nothing you could do could ever stop Him from loving you, using you, and blessing you.
In His arms is the safest place to be.
Peace and Blessings
